hello and welcome

Whatever has brought you here, it’s lovely to meet you.

My name is Kelly and I am a Social Work Licensure Candidate born and raised in Bozeman, MT. I graduated with my Master of Science in Social Work from UT Austin in 2023. Prior to and during graduate school I worked in healthcare, education, outreach, and community-engaged research settings. Over this time I have garnered a special focus on people experiencing perinatal (pregnancy / postpartum) mental health issues as well as people dealing with grief and loss. I am currently supervised by Colleen Shaler, LCSW at Four Corners Counseling.

I consider myself to be an eclectic practitioner with a cultural-relational focus, integrating various therapeutic approaches in order to meet each person’s needs. Above all, I believe healthy relationships are fundamental to emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive growth. That being said, all modalities I draw from are evidence-based. A few styles that guide my work are Emotions-Focused, Attachment, Acceptance and Commitment, and Cognitive-Behavioral.

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, an advocate for HAES, and committed to anti-racism work including continual exploration of my own biases. As a mental health practitioner I believe deeply in the power of collective care, and that the truest path to healing lies in communal collaboration and connection. I am also an advocate for the magic that comes with time spent outdoors, and as appropriate, will incorporate elements of nature-based mindfulness into my practice.

In therapy, I will encourage you to find joy and purpose outside of work and my life looks no different! In my free time my spirits are high when I’m curled up with a good story, lost in deep conversation with loved ones, traveling to new sites, or scrambling up rock faces and through alpine meadows. You might also find me practicing creativity through cooking & DIY projects, or snuggling with my beloved pup.

If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.
